Home Theater And Home Audio Sound System Secret Tips
Rome was not built in a day and neither good home theater and audio systems. I hope this article saves you time, money and aggravation.
This is how I put together my home theater and audio sound system and you might want this as a general orientation in terms of what I learned through trial and error. The first part of this article is general advice to Buy. The rest of the article is organized in alphabetical order by topic beginningwith audio / video receivers and ending with tweaks. You can scroll down to find the DVD player to CD player to come, etc. As mentioned earlier, this article as general guidance on the issue in layman's language is anxious to try to grasp technical concepts, home theater and home audio Basics. Onward and upward.
Buy a Used or refurbished items
My rule of thumb when buying something used online: 1 Make sure it comes with the originalManual and remote control will make the resale, you should chose to do this easily. 2. Make sure it will be very good or better condition described by a seller in the U.S. (or in which country you live in). 3. Pass on any issue that has been described earlier problems with the seller., 4 Do not buy anything called "as is" or "No Returns", as it basically says you down with this if you pay for it, even if its DOA. 5. They only buy from someone with a lot of feedback, the positive portion is95% or better. Normally I'm not someone with feedback of 10 or buy less when they are put up $ 200 or more, I would increase that to 20 Even if you do not, there are some legitimate people in the process with this rule, the chances are good that the item will reappear in the next 2 months or so from a seller with feedback of 20 or better. What I mean is, not rush things if you are not one. Via Paypal only. In this way, if there is a problem that is solved using PayPal and / orget your money back.
What Not to Buy a Used or Refurbished:
Do not buy a used or refurbished TV under any circumstances. They are doing for trouble if you.
Do not buy a used or refurbished DVD player, universal player or DVD recorder under any circumstances. These have had a limited lifespan in mind.
How to decide what to buy
If you've heard, seen, or a system that you would personally like it, I decide this first one, what to buy. What I would notis going to a store and make your decision based on what you are hearing or seeing. In many cases, for example, the HDTV is not actually show HD shows in the store because they do not receive are HD signals or sound system to give lousy sound is due to the poor acoustics, ambience and bath set incorrectly checks the Seller pretends not to notice. If you ignore all that we are the buyer beware, bring at least a CD and / or DVD of your choice to try their system, not the storesgeneric Ones.
I would be the forum pages and see what components or system constantly praised and then read the online reviews and information from the manufacturer and based on this decision, dass also use the forum to ask about a specific product.
Audio / video (A / V) Receiver
Most of the basic features to 7.1 or 5.1 A / V receivers are similar, no matter how old the recipient. Before I go, you can 5.1 sound (5 speakers and get one sub-) on a 7.1-receiver andmost are from the beneficiaries in the last 5 years or so 7.1. They are well suited for online use receiver, 40 to 70% of the listed retail price of the receiver increase if this was new, complete with a remote control and manual. Again, research any recipients of the opinion of a friend, a forum, manufacturer's information & online reviews. I have a Denon A / V receiver 3801, which I love for about $ 380 including shipping, which came with the remote control and manual. Since I had a universal remote control and knew I had tokeep this receiver, I sold the remote control for about $ 35 online, so all I spent was $ 345th This receiver costs about $ 1100 when it was new. On many of these recipients are, you only pay for extra bells and whistles, which, if you do not need money, you can save. Come For instance, many of the newer receiver with built-in EQ / DB systems, it is automatically set up the receiver and the cost much more than the systems you have to do it manually. Note, I can hear CDs on the Denon 'sAll Natural 5.1 stereo sound, the CDs from all 5 speakers and my subwoofer playing without treatment of the clay. For me, my sound has much more depth. Other people do not like to listen to CDs that way.
Cables
They are good cables have a good sound and picture: These cables: fiber optic cable to 5.1 sound from your HD receiver will receive / DVR and DVD players to get. You also need analog RCA cables to get good sound from your CD or universal player. You must be 2Sets of component cables to your DVD player to your TV and HD receiver / DVR to your TV. Finally, you still need a subwoofer cable and speaker cable.
When you receive your HD service from a cable or satellite company, usually they give you free component cables. Use them because they are too big to buy better, on average, and component cables. The cables are not built the same and will produce different results, contrary to prevailing opinion. I use Monster Standard Component cablesMonster Standard THX subwoofer cable, glass fiber-optic cable, which revealed a previously sound in my opinion, is for my DVR / receiver & standard optical cables for my DVD player, speaker wire, and believe it or not, 2 cheap Acoustic Research pair of analog cables that I find the most neutral and least likely to show a recording weaknesses!
CD Player
This is the component I have updated and changed, as most believe it or not, the sound is very different between the players. Asmentioned above, unless the CD sound is not that important to you should not, a DVD player plays CDs.
I have personally found that many classic car CD player, you can find online in general give fantastic sound, and are relatively inexpensive. I had a Pioneer 59 CD player for many years that you could get produced between $ 150 - $ 250, the big rock sound.
I have found buying a CD player is a total trial and error rate. Depending on the audio devices have on hand, the person and theMusic they like a man, the sky is another man's hell. Many people, myself included, have CD players at great forum to have comments and / or his ratings only disappointed if they actually listened to them and then resold the next day or week online at a loss.
My current CD-player a Jolida JD-100A Tube CD player, which I love. I have used it for about $ 350 then I would pay less for retail sale. His Tube CD Player sounds very different uses in which a tube. Again,This is a trial and error Preference. I use the current 2 ECC83 tubes 12Xa7.
DVD Player
I have a 31 Harmon Kardon DVD player, which I bought online for about $ 50 less than the selling price when it first came out. I chose this model because of the reviews I found online that raved about their great sound and excellent picture quality.
I'm using my DVD player, CDs, because in my personal opinion, to play and that of many other people, CD players produce better audio sound. So, ifthe sound of a CD is important for you to buy a CD player separately and ignore the BS line company that there was little difference between sound playing CDs on DVD players instead of CD player.
DVD Recorders
There are over 3 types of DVD recorders: Internal computer DVD recorder, external computer DVD recorders, and stand-alone DVD recorder that can record TV shows. The main difference between the stand-alone DVD recorder and the computer internal and external recorderare that the stand-alone DVD recorder can not be as far as I know, a record 5.1 sound and the internal and external computer DVD recorders can. While stand-alone and external computer DVD recorders are relatively cheap, they break a rule not more than a few years before her laser. The good news is, they are relatively cheap, only buy a new one. My internal computer DVD recorder has never been broken. You need software to record DVD's on your computer, and many of thesePlayers come with him. I use Nero, which I love, and also for burning CDs as well. An important thing to know that most commercial DVDs are encrypted as a DVD copy with commercially available software to prevent it.
HD DVR / TIVO
My HD DVR is for a rent of about $ 10 per month from my HD service provided. I am very happy with my setup but I am not qualified to make recommendations to them.
HDTV
I have 2 widescreen HDTV, which I have a lovePanasonic 34 "set, and a Mitsubishi 48" set, which I both purchased new. I would not recommend buying an HDTV set used. I would also take an extended warranty for the maximum length, so you do not do when making something out of order. I have on my purchase decision on these rates, what I read online in forums and reviews and manufacturer information. You can usually get great discounted prices, both from the electronic retail discount chains and online discount electronic companies registerincluding the extended warranty.
5.1 Headphones
I did not realize in my wildest dreams that this actually exists, and worked until I do a Google search and wound up at a forum, where the relatively expensive all raged, Pioneer SE-DIR800C HDPH Dolby Digital 5.1 Wireless Headphones, which I received new online for $ 300 $ 100 less the retail price. These headphones are my Holy Grail, I do not know how Pioneer is doing it, but they produce an incredible 5.1 sound, and I am not aware, I amListen through headphones! It is, moreover, wireless and excellent work, I have never experienced any noise or interference. For me, these headphones are a class by itself is not equal. I use it to connect to the TV and DVD Receiver Optical Digital Out on my Wireless Station is the pioneer optic input. My best electronic purchase ever.
MP3/iPod Headphones
For some reason, most of the free headphones with Ipods/MP3 players suck delivered. That is, theyuncomfortable or something missing in the sound, or both. As for me, I found I could not tolerate earphones, headphones, hearing aids, such as receiving, attached to the inside of the ear. I went to buy a major online price, and a new set of over their heads, Koss Porta Pro headphones, which were super easy and pleasant to the ears and had remained good, though not great sound, for about $ 15 less I would have to pay retail. Again, I bought these forums, reviews, and company establishedInformation.
MP3 Players
Sorry, I will not help much here as I only use my MP3 player for jogging and the preparation and, as such, I use a Creative Zen Nano Plus 512 as the super small and lightweight and has a fantastic sound.
Speakers
I mean 5.1-speaker system for DVD, TV and listening to CDs. I feel my system, have purchased the Orb Audio Mod 1 5.1 speaker set-up (5 speakers and a subwoofer), new, great sound for all. Other people prefer to use it before 5.1Speakers for DVD & TV and listen to CDs on different speakers. I found Orb to find an incredible amount of positive reviews on them based on forums and on my buying decision solely on that.
Tweaks and Accessories
This is another hit or miss proposition. I bought a new online Musical Fidelity X-Blade 10 V3 Tube Buffer for $ 250 and improved my CD player when my current two, Jolida JD-100A (Tube), CD player and my previous Pioneer PD-59 connectedSolid State CD player. I have the X-10 V3 tube buffer back of forums and reviews, as well as corporate information.
