If you spend 1000 to an elite blue ray, then you should be a good price, like 600 for a Cambridge Azur CD player or a similar 24-bit. Blu-ray lasers are very narrow, and not reading the CD incorrectly, and to do this would be more work as the wayas significant by the major manufacturers.
